Chelsey Moore
OWNER - Level 7
Chelsey has been involved in all-star cheerleading for over 20 years. She worked for Vancouver All-Stars from 2006-2011 and then again from 2015-2020, with the later years being a member of the Worlds coaching team, as well as the gym director, and staff trainer.
During the years 2011-2015, she was in Saskatoon, SK completing a Master of Science in Kinesiology with a specialization in mental skills training for athletes. During this time, she worked for Prairie Fire Cheerleading, where she worked as the gym director and elite team & worlds coach.
She has sat on the BC Sport Cheer board of directors, is a BCSC coach credentialer and coaching course facilitator.

Ashley Stephenson
OWNER - Level 5
Ashley has been involved in all-star cheerleading for over 15 years. She began as an athlete and developed an incredible passion for the sport. She wanted to ignite this passion in others so coaching then became her life! She has coached at all-star gyms that span the country from British Columbia to Nova Scotia. She has predominantly spent her coaching career in the Kelowna community, creating relationships and an understanding of building our sport in our local community.
Ashley holds a Bachelor of Education and is an elementary school teacher in our community.

Anna Wexler
COACH - ICU Level 7
Anna has been involved with competitive cheerleading for over 20 years in BC. She made the switch from competitive gymnastics to cheerleading at the age of 13 and never looked back. She has been involved with teams of all ages and all levels throughout her career, having attended Worlds twice as an athlete and twice as a coach to the High School World championships with full paid bids! She has previously worked as a professional choreographer/Instructor with Cheer Factory and continues to choreograph exclusively for KCA.

Marika Fujisawa
COACH - Level 5
Marika has been involved in all-star cheerleading for over 21 years in BC. She started cheer before there were distinct levels and has been on level 1-6 teams as an athlete. She has earned multiple championship titles and has competed at several international competitions such as The Summit, Spirit Cheer, and Encore. Although she started as a flyer, she has competed in all stunting positions.
Marika has coached in both Vancouver and Kelowna—tinies to open age, up to level 4—with a focus on tumbling and technique. She aims to create a fun, dedicated, and safe atmosphere to build confidence and a passion for cheer. She has helped athletes overcome mental blocks through positivity, drills, and repetition.
Outside of cheer, Marika works at Kelowna General Hospital as a Registered Nurse.

Emily Flegel
COACH - Level 5
Emily has been involved in the BC cheerleading community since 2006 as both an athlete and coach. She began competing in all-star cheerleading and continued through university, where she cheered for the UVic Vikes. Emily has worked with athletes of all ages from Levels 1–4 at three amazing gyms across BC and has coached two teams to The Summit.
Outside of cheerleading, Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and has spent over five years working in the mental health and disability field. She is passionate about creating inclusive environments where every athlete can grow and feels like they belong. Although Emily has retired from competing herself, she stays active as an avid marathon runner and enjoys hiking with her dog.KCAemilyf@gmail.com

Alicia Anderson
COACH - Level 4
Alicia has been apart of cheerleading since 2007, having started her cheer journey in competitive high school cheer. It was there her lifelong passion for cheer sparked. During her senior year, Alicia helped start a new program at her local Middle School where after graduation she led the program for 5 successful seasons from 2010-2015. In 2016, Alicia moved over to her high school and coached there from 2015-2020. Alicia transitioned to coaching All Star Cheer in 2020 and has been coaching multiple teams each season to date.
After almost 10 years coaching, Alicia stepped back on the competition mat as an adult athlete. Since 2020, Alicia has completed 3 seasons as an athlete and represented the first team from Kelowna to take the Summit stage in Orlando in 2023.

Alexa Posella
COACH - Level 3
Alexa has been a part of cheerleading for 7 years both as an athlete and as a coach. Her love for the sport started in Scholastic cheerleading and grew into a passion for All-Star. Alexa has coached almost every age-group from U6 to U18 and up to level 3. Alexa strives to show all the athletes she works with that they can do hard things every day!

Lindsey Graham
COACH - Level 3
Lindsey has been involved in all-star cheerleading for 15 years in both Alberta and BC. She has been on teams level 1-6 as an athlete and has competed at both The Cheerleading Worlds and The Summit along with other international competitions.
When Lindsey isn’t at the gym she works as a Labour and Delivery Nurse at the hospital welcoming new babies into the world!
Lindsey has coached both level 1 and 2 teams ranging from Tiny to U16. She loves passing on her knowledge and passion for the sport to all age groups. She hopes to help foster a love for the sport and athletes develop through an encouraging, exciting, and challenging approach

This season will be my 15th year of cheer as an athlete and 5th year of coaching! I have coached all ages from tinies to juniors. As a coach my goal is to make my athletes love the sport just as much as I do!

Jolie Stothers
COACH - Level 2
I fell in love with this sport 7 years ago. My experience as an athlete includes levels 1-4 and I’ve been a volunteer coach for 3 years and became a certified level 1-2 coach this year. Cheer is more than a sport for me, it’s my passion. My goal is to provide a fun, safe environment while also creating challenging opportunities for the athletes to grow!

Kassidy Lillie
COACH - Level 2
Kassidy had been involved in cheerleading since 2016. Her athlete experience ranges from prep, competitive, and elite teams on levels 1-4, including a Summit championship winning team in 2024. She has been a volunteer coach for 4 years and is now a certified coach in levels 1 and 2. As a coach, her goal is to build confidence in athletes by providing a supportive and fun atmosphere.

Grace McCooeye
COACH - Level 2
Grace has been involved in Cheer as an Athlete for 13 years, in both Alberta and B.C. Competing on both Worlds and Summit teams, As well as having the honour to be apart of Junior Team Canada for 2 years receiving a Gold and Silver Title.
My goal as a coach is to help my athletes grow and thrive both in this sport and as strong individuals. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where they can challenge themselves, build meaningful connections, and reach their goals. Cianna Konecsni
COACH - Level 2
With 9 years of cheerleading experience and 7 years of dance before that, Cianna has built a strong foundation in athleticism and performance. At just 13 years old, she was selected for the Team Canada Academy as a flyer and tumbler, an experience that helped shape her love for the sport.
Now in her second year of coaching, Cianna enjoys helping athletes build confidence, develop strong technique, and achieve their goals in a positive and encouraging environment.

Mya Vanderwall
COACH - Level 2
I’ve been involved with cheer as an athlete since 2014 and have been on levels 1-5 at a few different gyms in BC!! I have competed at competitions throughout North America like summit (x2), NCA, and more! I have been a volunteer coach for 2 years and I am thrilled to be working with the KCA crew. I really want to spread my passion and love for cheer through all athletes and help them achieve their own goals!

Darian Scott
COACH - Level 2
Darian started their cheerleading journey back in 2016 on a level 2 scholastic team where they quickly fell in love with the sport. Since year one of KCA, Darian has been a backspot on Lieutenants, our Level 3 Non-tumble team, and is now a part of Rogue, our Level 4 team.
Darian is certified as a Level 2 coach and aims to share their love of Cheer by providing fun and rewarding practices. They believe that anyone can be successful in cheer if they are ready to put in the work, and finds joy in watching athletes grow as performers and as people.

Aleisha Schmalz
COACH - Level 2
Aleisha began her cheerleading journey in middle school, where—fun fact—Coach Alicia was her very first coach! She continued cheering competitively throughout high school, developing a strong passion for the sport.
In 2022, Aleisha began her coaching career in Kamloops, BC, where she discovered her love for helping athletes grow and succeed. Serina Bentien
COACH - Level 2
Hello, I’m Serina! I have been in cheer as an athlete for 8 years now. All through levels 1-4 and have been volunteer coaching for 4 years. This is my first year as a fully qualified coach. I am so excited for the future of this gym as well as working with many athletes to reach both their goals and my goals in cheerleading.

Madeleine Janzen
COACH - Level 2
Madeleine has been involved in cheerleading for 17 years and is excited to join the KCA coaching team. She has competed on levels 1 through 6 at gyms all across B.C..
Madeleine cheered at Vancouver All Stars where she represented Team Canada Senior Elite, winning gold at the 2019 Pan American Championships, and earned a bronze medal at the 2019 cheerleading worlds in the Global 6 division. She has also attended The Summit (2X), NCA Nationals (3X), and The Cheerleading Worlds (3X), including one virtual appearance during COVID.

Callie Tansem
Callie has recently graduated from UBCO and will be pursuing Graduate Studies at UBC. KCA will miss her so much while she’s gone, but we know she’ll be coming back to us in just a few short seasons! Callie will be back by Season 4!
